Contractor On Deployed Operations (C.O.N.D.O.)
In pursuit of further contract and employment, companies contractors and individuals who are supplying commercial services to the UK Armed forces are required under the CONDO agreement to provide and undergo CONDO training prior to their employees deploying, this training must be provided and funded by the company or individual and must be to DEFCON standards.
Acrosec and its partners provide their courses by using the systematic approach to training. This technique delivers training in a foundation to building block approach, which addresses the initial departure requirement including identifying medical, security and first aid requirements prior to deployment with cultural and country awareness. Acrosec prides itself in its thoroughness in preparing a group or an individual prior to departure. This course combines theory with practical deliverable skills. Our training is at the forefront of innovate realistic training delivered by experienced instructors from both civilian (FCO and Civil service) and military background with Special Forces. All of our instructors have extensive experience in conflict prevention and security in most conflict and hot areas.
Acrosec offers a two day and three day course that conforms to:
- DEFCON 679 (Contractors deployed on operations)
- DEFCON 05-129 (defence Standards Processes and requirements for operations)
Two day course:
- First Aid Training
- Mine and UXO awareness
- Security and safety awareness
- Immediate Action (IA) on the attack alarm
- Theatre cultural information
- Maintenance of Individual safety equipment (Helmet and body armour for example)
- Use of Individual Protection Equipment (Respirator)
- Military structures (Rank, unit and HQ formations)
Three day course:
- Pre-deployment administration and welfare considerations and requirements.
- Military terminology.
- Military flight and packing requirements.
- IA on CBRN exposure, and equipment fitting.
Key learning outcomes:
- React to personal security and counter measures.
- React to the in theatre warning alarm.
- Have the ability to be confident and work in military environments.
- Maintain and use protective equipment effectively.
- Learn essential first aid and other survival skills.
- Understand the cultural and political dimensions of the country that they may be required to operate in
This course is suitable for anyone who is required to travel and work with the Armed Forces in a challenging environment of which some environments may be treacherous through direct intervention or by the remoteness of the location. The course is designed on developing skills and the understanding for the individual to gain confidence and recognise and react effectively to situations as they present themselves. This will allow them to effectively compete and meet the desired outcome. On successfully completing the course Students will be issued a CONDO compliance certificate as required by the MoD prior to an individual or group deploying.
Hostile Environment Awareness Training (H.E.A.T.)
Wherever in the world your employees are required to live or work on your behalf, as an employer, you have a duty of care to ensure that they are fully prepared for the challenges whether known or unknown, of the environment that they will be required to operate in.
More important and in the current turbulent world employees must also be aware of unforeseen events that may present themselves due to poverty, adverse conditions and deliberate intervention. Acrosec Hostile Environment Awareness (HEAT) course has been devised to train, prepare and in some cases deploy with companies/clients who are proceeding into hostile or uncertain locations. Acrosec HEAT courses will prepare individuals to recognise and avoid potential threats and impart skills through realistic training (elementary and application stands) to equip the individual to respond effectively to incidents as they occur.

About the course
Dependant on the requirement each course is tailored to your own requests. No one course will shoehorn into another, for example Africa requires a different approach to Afghanistan and the challenges your employees are likely to face in one country will not be the same else where.

Kidnap Awareness Training
Acrosec together with its partner BGP & the Metropolitan Police Service and City of London Police deliver Kidnap Awareness Training through a three day course or bespoke training packages tailored to meet company/organisational requirements.
Aim:
To develop the knowledge and understanding required of a incident management team by providing a proportionate and effective response to kidnap situations both Internationally and within the UK.
Objectives:
- A)Explain the corporate response to a kidnap both Internationally and within the UK
- B) Define and explain the key roles and responsibilities of:
- Company and Law Enforcement first response
- Incident management team
- Victim communicator
- Company couriers
- Family support and after care
Demonstrate knowledge by participating in LIMIT (Live Incident Management Interactive Trainer) exercises.
- Tiger kidnap within the UK
- An overseas kidnap scenario
Pre Departure Training
Organisations and individuals are far more frequently required to work abroad, be it directly in pursuit of further contracts or individuals who have specific qualifications required abroad.
This course is to prepare the Organisation/Companies that their employees have been given specific support and training to allow them to operate in harsh and treacherous environments.
Organisations must be aware of their responsibilities to their employees. Often it is required that companies show that their pre departure preparations have been thoroughly thought through and risk assessments provided.
This three day course will provide individuals and companies with the knowledge and understanding they require to minimise risk when deploying overseas.
