S.I.A. Courses
To operate with a dog, in the majority of cases, the handler will need to be SIA licensed. This involves vetting through CRB as attendance on a course for the relevant SIA role which culminates in an exam.
If the candidate passes all of these aspects they are certified and then have to apply for an SIA licence, which lasts for 3 years and then is renewed.
